Northern Pakistan gains 4,000 metres in a day of driving. Forest turns to desert turns to glacier, and every region has its own weather, food and language. We pace the climb so your body agrees with the plan.

Past this point the valleys belong to villages and orchards; above it, to glaciers, marmots and the people who read clouds. This is where our journeys stop being trips and start being climbs.
The journeys five signatures

Swat, the river road to Kalam, Mahodand Lake and the forests of Kumrat. The green heart of the north, at walking pace.

Karimabad, the turquoise surprise of Attabad, the cones of Passu, and Khunjerab at 4,693 metres.

Shigar Fort, dunes between snow peaks, and the high plains of Deosai in summer flower.

Over the Lowari into a gentler world of river forts, hot springs and the festivals of the Kalash valleys.

The whole north in one line: Swat, Chitral, Shandur, Hunza, Khunjerab, Deosai, Skardu. The road of a lifetime.
Far beyond all expectations, my visit to Northern Pakistan has been a trip of a lifetime. Under the expert guidance of Mr Mohsin and his driver Ehsen, I have experienced 11 districts, 2 provinces in 6 days. Countless memories will remain with me forever.
The silence at night was the real luxury. Five stars are for the guiding; ten for the stillness.

Everything was exceptionally well organized, from the hotels and accommodation to the transportation and sightseeing. 100% recommended!

The tour was immaculately planned and everything was up to the mark. We were blown away by the surprise arranged for us courtesy of Mohsin Bhai.

The people behind the road about us
One guide travels with you from the first chai to the last pass. English and Urdu, born in the valleys, first aid trained, and on a first-name basis with every guesthouse owner on the route.

Born in Kalam, guiding for eleven years. Knows every water stop between Islamabad and Khunjerab.

Fifteen seasons on the jeep tracks to Mahodand and Jahaz Banda. The calmest hands on the Lowari switchbacks.

Started with one jeep and a phone full of returning guests. Still personally answers every WhatsApp.
The practical truth, before you pack. Anything else, ask us on WhatsApp.
Swat, Kalam and Hunza run April to October. Deosai opens only in summer, June to September. Chitral is beautiful spring through autumn, and the Kalash festivals in May, August and December are worth planning around. Ask your dates on WhatsApp
The northern valleys are welcoming and used to travellers. You move with a local team that gives current route guidance and stays connected throughout. Weather and roads are the real variables, so plans are built to flex. Talk it through
